Host John Palma has a unique ability to take Frank Sasso’s increasingly ridiculous ideas seriously enough to keep the conversation alive while occasionally reminding everyone that they have, in fact, lost the plot. He is the straight man, the sounding board, and the voice of reason, although his record of successfully stopping Frank is questionable at best. John cultivates the chaos, sort of. He has mastered the art of knowing when to question Frank and when to simply sit back and see how bad things are going to get. Together, they form a podcasting partnership that researchers describe as “concerning, but strangely entertaining.”

After five years of working with John Palma, Frank Sasso developed a rare condition known as "Thinking Out Loud Syndrome," causing him to say things most people would normally keep to themselves. Frank's role on the show is simple: introduce an idea, watch it immediately go off the rails, and then follow it wherever it goes. He is a storyteller, instigator, professional tangent-taker, and occasional supplier of facts that nobody requested. His greatest talent is taking an ordinary subject and asking one completely unnecessary question that somehow becomes the entire conversation. He asks the questions nobody else thinks to ask.
